A committee of AAII employees has fine-tuned four stock selection approaches to uncover candidates for inclusion in our Stock Superstars Report. A sophisticated portfolio optimization tool is then used to examine the candidates, one-by-one, to construct the risk-return efficient portfolios found on StockSuperstars.com.
No one person makes individual security choices. As a committee the rules and policies to buy and sell stocks were established. The process is quantitative in nature.

To avoid any conflicts of interest, we have a policy prohibiting any of the parties working on the SSR system from investing in the SSR stocks. To show real-world performance, we run an actual portfolio with real dollars that follows the SSR buy and sell recommendations. To further simulate what an average investor might experience we implement a minimum one day trading delay in taking action on the recommendations. The transaction record of the portfolio is available on-line within the performance segment of the SSR site.
